The Babysitting Tribe was founded by two moms, Nicole and Rebecca, who understand firsthand how hard it is to find safe, reliable childcare. We created this platform to remove the stress and guesswork from booking a babysitter, for both families and babysitters.
We are not a gig app. We are a real community led by people who care, focused on professionalism, safety, and peace of mind. Every part of this platform is built to support families and empower babysitters, with real human help behind the scenes.

What is a “fully vetted babysitter”?
Every babysitter on our platform is background-checked, CPR-certified, interviewed, and reference-verified. We don’t allow self-listed sitters — every profile is created and reviewed by our team.
Can I hire a babysitter from this platform to be my nanny?
This platform is for babysitting only, not nanny placements. If you’re looking for a full-time nanny, contact our sister agency: Nicole@TheNannyTribe.com
Why is there a 6-month membership commitment?
Babysitting is a relationship-based service. The 6-month minimum helps us provide consistent access to quality sitters and maintain a stable, vetted sitter pool for all families.
What if I don’t use the membership as often as I thought?
We understand plans change! However, we don’t allow downgrades until after the 6-month commitment is complete, as sitter availability and scheduling are built around consistent membership tiers.
How do I know I’ll find the right sitter?
Every family is different — needs, budgets, expectations. We’ve done the vetting, but flexibility helps. We encourage open communication, feedback, and exploring different sitter tiers until you find your best fit.
Can I work with sitters outside the platform?
No — all sitters must be booked through The Babysitting Tribe. This protects your access to vetted sitters and ensures safety, accountability, and professional standards for everyone involved.
What happens after I sign up?
You’ll be directed to fill out a quick family profile form, and then we’ll guide you through the onboarding steps — including tips for choosing sitters based on your needs.
